As a critical part of the Minworth on-site leadership team, you will reporting directly to the General Manager with overall responsibility for ensuring compliance to existing and future corporate and legislative standards for HSE and Quality/Food Safety. You will act as an international ambassador for warehousing safety and may be called upon to support other warehouses in the European network, including 3PL. This role will be based at Minworth DC but it is expected that 1-2 days per month may be spent at other DCs or Bournville carrying out benchmarking and operational planning. KeyResponsibilities: Health & Safety Drive H&S awareness and engagement across the site Participate in accident and incident investigation, reporting and analysis and ensuring root cause is always identified Identify and recommend H&S training requirements and key improvement initiatives Promoting the H&S culture through behavioural safety, training, target setting, auditing and positive reinforcement of policies & procedures Collate data to produce and present statistics, trends and analysis related to H&S Host and Audits / inspections to ensure best in class results Continuing professional development in H&S Developing, leading and implementing policy, procedures and strategic H&S programmes Advising the Management Team on H&S issues Carrying out regular and frequent monitoring of adherence to the policy and procedures. Environmental Create and maintain Environmental system / corporate and local policy Ensure sites compliance to all relevant legislative regulations Full achievement of environmental audit standard Host the annual external Environmental accreditation processes Develop the site roadmap for environmental improvement. Quality & Food Safety Create and maintain a Quality management system / corporate and local policy Full Achievement of audit standard BSI 9001 depending Host bi-annual external Quality audit Ensure first class document control processes are in place Develop the site roadmap for QFS and engage the team in compliance and improvement. Contractor Excellent control and collaboration with on-site contractors Management of contractor risk assessment programme to ensure all on-site work is carried out with the required H&S practices in place. Cross EHS& QFS Chair EHSand QFS monthly meetings Communicate/publish site performance, policy/ legislative regulation changes locally and externally Be site lead for all EHSand QFS matters Ensure site personnel are adequate trained and accredited Act as an ambassador forEuropean warehousing offering practical support and advice when needed Work collaboratively with all of the corporate compliance functions to drive improvement. Qualifications Key Requirements: Experience working in a HSE and /or QFS discipline within food manufacturing/warehousing or FMCG environment Demonstrable ability to lead and implement, proven recent QEHS initiatives General NEBOSH Certificate Extensive working knowledge of quality management and environmental systems ie BSI ISO 9001 and 14001 Technician member of IOSH Accredited training qualification to train others Environmental Management qualification or working towards one We pride ourselves on having a high performing and collaborative culture where we offer support and development to enhance your career and develop your knowledge and skills.
