. We are a property company advancing through our core technology improving way that construction is developing. We are currently looking for a project director/ construction manager who can help take our business forward through excellent planning and a can do attitude.

Experience is beneficial but not essential, what is required is a strong work ethic a real desire to get things done and a good background in either engineering, construction management or architecture with a desire to learn and develop new skills.

Must have strong knowledge of estimation, sustainability, new build methods and building regulations but a real strong desire to make things happen is essential.

The role will involve:

*Working with governing bodies to develop the best methods of builds and working to guidelines.
*Spear head a high profile project, making sure deadlines are achieved.
Providing solution to the team to improve all practices.
Supporting site set up. Support condition surveys and validations. Create induction materials
• Build / develop client and subcontractor relationships. Support client, professional team walk-rounds.
• Review subcontractor documentation. Identify risks and opportunities. Understand full subcontractor operations of each work package. Support the development of the construction phase design and plan
• Support delivery of the build. Manage all day to day activity; samples, deliveries, works underway and administration
• Liaise with design team. Support design workshops. Manage design with the design team
• Delegate, communicate, manage relationships, define roles andresponsibilities
• Forecast, plan and communicate. Develop detailed programmes for areas of responsibility
• Manage and understand work package interfaces to identify risk
*Key player in the development in the technology and company procedures.

• Knowledge and great appreciation of high standards of Health &Safety
• At least 10 years UK experience in brownfield development in construction related industries for major contractors ordevelopers
• Exceptional communication, supervisory, leadership and delegationskills
• High self motivation, problem solving ability and a hands onapproach
• Excellent computer skills
You will be a natural leader of large teams with a proven working knowledge of pre-construction.

Qualifications and work experience

• You will have a degree, in relevant engineering or management discipline and be registered with an appropriate professional institution. Having a post-graduate qualifications in APM/MSP/PMI/ PRINCE2/Six Sigma would be an advantage.

• You will have extensive experience of delivering medium to large sized multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, be well respected within the industry with a network of client, consultant and contractor contacts and relationships.

• You will have a proven track record of dealing with Clients and forging effective and collaborative relationships in a professional and customer focused manner.

• You will be able to demonstrate excellent inter-personal skills, including good written and oral communication

• Experience of working as a Project Director on complex high spec, high value, mixed use residential and commercial schemes from inception through to handover is essential for this position.
