Babcock offer a hugely diverse number of career options. * Reporting to the Babcock QA and Test Lead, you will be managing the regression testing activities throughout the full testing life-cycle for multiple SAP projects and programmes, and the right candidate will be experienced in stakeholder management at all levels * Lead and conduct the regression testing activities during the delivery of a SAP roll out - scoping, creating and maintaining, plannig and executing an Automated and manual regression suite using HP ALM / UFT, Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar ALM / Test tools * Analyse and recommend optimum automation tool set(s) for given applications and processes * Engage with applications and technical teams and suppliers to ensure system and functional changes delivered into live do not break existing functionlaity, through a well-defined manual and automated regression test suite * Produce and communicate testing progress to the Programme Test Manager and Babcock QA and Test Lead Main responsibilities * Work with the Test manager and give testing input to the project plan for Regression testing activities * Input into the Test Plans, scope, effort estimates and schedules for Regression testing for each release * Responsible for the production of effective automated and manual regression test scripts to cover the requirements of the programme from previous releases * Assist in planning the Regression (Test automation in particular) strategy and gain approval thereof from the necessary teams / stakeholders * Ensure test scripting, test execution and test evidence is performed to best practice and agreed standards * Manage Automation tool admin support - upgrades, new users, licence requiremetns * Collect all testing outputs and ensure an up-to-date defect log is maintained throughout all testing activities in conjunction with the Defect Manager * Participate and give inputs to all testing activities (daily stand-ups, meetings, workshops), quality gates (Entry and Exit criteria conformance; support Go / no-go decisions), documents (Test Plans, Schedules) and reports (Daily / weekly progress reports, Test phase exit reports) are in a regular and timely manner * Work with the Defect Manager to ensure all defects are fixed (by the relevant teams), retested and reported, and attend or give inputs into triage meetings. Ensure any blockers or issues are highlighted to the programme to ensure efficient resolution * Give input into impact of Change requests for the test team regarding regression test suite * Ensure you manage your time and your resources to deliver to agreed timescales for the activity for agreed projects and changes * All solutions delivered should be to an agreed standard using agreed industry methodologies and have measurable benefits that can be tracked * Work to the documentation/agreed standards to successfully deliver the service, all processes and technical information to build and manage the application in a structured format * Ensure all work carried out is either within an agreed SLAs or Project sanctioned by the PMO * Ensure you work with your line manager to agree a career path to develop your knowledge and skills to support the business better * 5 years plus experience working with test automation regression test suite management (for both SAP modules and non-SAP applications) * Experience of scoping, preparing and executing test scripts, data preparation, giving input into test plans and schedules or changes for enterprise applications where operational availability is critical * Working in a challenging and complex organisation and demonstrable experience of managing organisational, business and technical change. * Extensive knowledge of and experience in the SAP transactions, processes and integration points into modules (SuccesFactors, Fiori, finance, procurement and supply chain, SRM, HR and Projects). * Experience throughout the full SAP lifecycle * Ability to interpret design documentation, working with the business representatives and ability advise and challenge the scope and identify test cases for the regression test suite * Experience delivering robust and re-usable test scripts to an agreed industry standard using waterfall and agile methodologies * Proven experience in working with technical teams and senior management to drive and deliver quality releases for complex technology solutions * Experience of working with internal and external suppliers and working to KPIs to ensure specified SLAs are met (or assist to define these where necessary) * Ability to deal with and manage conflict whilst building successful business relationships across a range of stakeholder groups * Management of resolution of technical application issues and problems with suppliers and internal teams with the support of the Babcock QA and Test Lead and Programme Test Manager * Strong experience of delivering tests and releases for enterprise class systems such as: SAP technologies, and working across other applications such SharePoint, SQL, Oracle, BI systems and Web applications * Experience using HP UFT and ALM, or Team Foundation Server (TFS) or equivalent automation ALM / test toolset Desirable * Management of processes using ALM toolset preferably HP ALM and UFT, TFS or equivalent test automation toolsets * Manage and hands-on experience in creating HP-UFT Test Scripts across SuccessFactors, SAP GUI and SAP NetWeaver Portal / Fiori. * Good Skills in VBA and HP-UFT (Previously known as QTP). * Good experience in using VBA in Excel. * Create regression scripts using UFT in between release cycles * ISTQB or ISEB certification * PRINCE 2 Foundation * ITIL Foundation * A full clean driving licence PERSON SPECIFICATION Essential * Work closely with the Applications Team demonstrating 100% commitment to excellence in everything you do, a real desire to deliver quality service to customers at all times, the ability to manage the team through periods of change and growth, be self-motivating, flexible, hard-working and thorough * High level, proven interpersonal and communication skills are essential * Work collaboratively across IT and non-IT departments* Ability to effectively manage, challenge and influence others * Good experience of managing technical teams with large enterprise class systems * Experience managing system and functional change to multiple content management, web applications and reporting systems across multiple environments (predominantly SAP, SuccessFactors, Ariba, SRM, BI / BW, as well as non-SAP systems) * Good creative thinking, problem solving and analytical skills * Great presentation skills from small to large groups * Willingness to undertake reasonable travel for work Desirable * Professional and technical gravitas to be able to build trust with stakeholders * Flexible and creative problem solving skills * Security cleared Babcock offers a competitive salary and benefits package including 25 days holiday entitlement plus public holidays, money purchase pension scheme with life assurance, share ownership scheme and a broad range of career opportunities.
