Your Role As an Expense Analyst your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following: Management Reporting and Business Support Liaison with Expense colleagues in Krakow on monthly basis around Expense close Preparation of Expense Analyse for inclusion in monthly management information packs, providing variance analysis and business commentary Respond to business queries and follow up on identified issues Hold quarterly meetings with each Function to help them understand their expenses and follow up on queries raised where necessary Provide support to the local business to ensure that expenses initiatives for the plan are delivered Understanding the expenses and communicating these to business management teams Continuous development of tools and automation of processes in reporting area Providing the necessary financial support for production of Business unit reviews packs Maintain quality of inputs into expense process Provide insight on expense drivers Partner with local executive to challenge spend and drive value Group Reporting including Forecasting Be responsible for the preparation of the Quarterly Expense Forecast for the GI business, working with the business to update Reporting of actual Expense results and forecasts for GI business including commentary of variances to Plan\Forecast Planning and Forecasting. Be responsible for the preparation of the Annual Expense planning for the GI business, working closely with the business Prepare analysis versus previous Plan\Forecast and walk changes in forecasts Financial Analysis Involvement in Project\capital expenditure decisions Involvement in Expense Initiatives Ad hoc Business Case Expense validation Your Skills and Experience As an Expense Analyst your skills and qualifications will include: Part or Qualified accountant with analyst experience General understanding of accounting concepts Ability to work as part of team working to tight deadlines Ability to operate effectively in business partner role Advanced numerical & analytical skills Advanced knowledge of accounting concepts Manage multiple concurrent tasks within strict timelines Advanced MS Office skills, with emphasis on MS Excel and Powerpoint Good knowledge of SAP Non-Technical Competencies: Excellent organizational and planning skills Excellent attention to detail Self-starter with ability to use own initiative Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels Ability to think clearly and logically Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to establish and maintain constructive business relationships with all contacts inside and outside the Company Positive and flexible attitude to change Strong problem Solving skills Customer focused approach. Additional Information Primary work location is Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. Position is Dublin-based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
