THE POSITION St. Jamess Hospital deliversa wide range of surgical services at a local, regional and national level. The SACC (Surgery, Anaesthesia and Critical Care Directorate) Directorate programme focuses on the surgical patient process from outpatients through to discharge. Core principles are based around safe, personal, clinically effective and high quality service to all patients, with clear accountability for all staff members. While, the Urology Department provides a service for patients who suffer from problems with Kidneys, Bladder, Prostate and general Water-Works. THE LOCATION Dublin is the capital of the Republic of Ireland and sits on Irelands east coast at the mouth of the beautiful River Liffey. It is a multi-cultural, creative hub and in 2010 was even designated as a UNESCO City of Literature in recognition of its cultural profile and international standing. Dublin is modern and exciting city but is also home to many historic buildings and heritage sites such as Dublin Castle. Dublin is an extremely diverse city and there is always a wide range of events and activities to engage in.
