Reporting to Area Sourcing Manager, Singapore & Indonesia, you will be responsible for maximizing revenue, profit and developing strong commercial relationships with hotel partners in Singapore. As a Market Manager, you will be an integral part of the team that makes inventory, pricing and merchandising decisions in your assigned market. Key responsibilities Focus primarily on direct account management to deliver Room nights/Revenue and acquisition goals through management of inventory, rates, supplier relations and negotiation of best inventory and competitive rates in assigned market. Establish, maintain and negotiate supplier relationships with hotel properties, hotel management companies and chains. To be the Sourcing Champion in order to meet market demand and allow for targeted growth. Provide ad hoc and regular performance reporting analysis to partners at property level to implement win-win solutions in order for both parties to achieve optimum market performance and long-term trusting commercial relationships. Analyse and interpret Sourcing market data, based on past and present performance in the market, to monitor hotel database results Negotiate and secure market promotions that drive occupancy and revenue. Implement rate/ inventory revisions. Conduct weekly competitive analysis for market, and address issues with hotels for rate/inventory compliance. Monitor, evaluate, and report on individual accounts and markets progress toward achieving weekly, monthly, annual targets. Understand key market demand periods, know destination trends, create/ maintain event calendars for key markets, and plan courses of action required to meet supply, demand, and necessary sales. Monitor fulfillment performance by hotel suppliers and address any problems or concerns. Deliver presentations detailing GTA as well as key initiatives to partners to drive performance.
Requirements Degree in Tourism/Business Management or related disciplines At least 4 years' experience in Sales, business development, account management/revenue management, ideally gained from hotel, travel or retail sector. Proven negotiation experience is essential Ability to interact and influence at all levels of an organization, including hotel management and owners. Good knowledge of Indonesia/Bali travel industry Strong analytical and presentation skills Commercial orientation, initiative and able to work on tight deadlines Flexible and 'hands-on' working attitude Ability to multi-task and work with multicultural matrix organisation Must be computer literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet technollogies Good command of English
