[Description] Job Summary

Lead the purchasing team to manage suppliers ensuring best value cost solutions, specification and quality adherence that complies with the company's customer requirements as required for the on time delivery of purchased products and materials to support the production line.

Responsibilities

Ensure the Review and Expedite Delivery of Outstanding Purchase Orders for the department.
Work with the team in analyzing supplier quotes for RFQ compliance and cost competitiveness and present to Manager for review and Approval.
Oversee the identification and investigation of potential suppliers as part of a cross functional team, vetting the work other buyers are required.

Ensure the team is handling requests for quotation (RFQ) with potential bidders, manage timing and report stats.
Monitor the process of creation of Parts within the IT System.
Ensure the team are running various inventory reports, assist to analyse reports and review demand for Stock Items.
Ensure Confirmation of Purchase Orders with Supplier Base and monitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items to
ensure that all items and delivered to site/store on time, arranging shipping as required.
System Maintenance including Data entry activities within system as required.
Support Negotiation of terms and conditions with successful bidder, ensuring compliance with all applicable Company requirements and regulations.
Lead the team in Post contract award administration to ensure all contract terms and satisfied.
Effectively work with suppliers and internal customers to improve supply chain.
Serve as a focal point for multiple internal customers for purchasing related issues.
Monitor the team are Issuing Supplier Forecasting and Delivery Performance.
Training and mentoring of staff and support in performance evaluation and performance management of staff including individual KPI setting and monitoring.
Creation and maintenance of work instructions and procedures as required to satisfy policy.
Reporting of functional area KPI's, assisting in operational and strategic planning and execution.
Having the responsibility and authority to ensure customer requirements are met in the aspect of logistics information and management of supply chain.
Other general duties as directed by Management.


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or other relevant business related discipline (or working towards such a qualification) would be highly regarded.
At least 7 years of experience in Purchasing (including Sub-Contracts) and negotiation preferred.
Experience in Supplier Selection and managing the RFQ process
Strong interpersonal skills, including demonstrated experience of customer/supplier interaction.
Attention to detail and accuracy, decision making, problem analysis and problem solving skills.
Time Management and Organization / Planning skills.
Previous experience as a supervisor or team leader.
Ability to lead a team and get the best of out people.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and understand manufacturing process flow.
Good command of listening, spoken and written English.
Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of applications.
Understand the necessity of teamwork, initiative, influence, and business competency and negotiation skill.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 preferred.
