Work History (Summary of work experience) Some of my exposure, in brief, includes :- • Working in the insurance, assurance and medical aid industry as an independent broker. Guiding clients in choicing the best options, assisting with claims, queries and payment matters and liaising with the Service Providers and clients to ensure client is aware of the procedures that need to be followed. • Arranging, facilitating and the administration work for training sessions that are held in-house Health & Safety courses in a pleasant and comfortable environment, in alignment with SAQA Unit Standards. One of the big key issues has been around Behavioural Based Safety. However, I have informally trained learners on computer training. Study assistance is a vital part of any business today; fortunately I have been exposed to administering study assistance for up to 15 people. • Part of the role compiling with the Skills Development Act and to complete required reports (i.e. WSP & ATR) and forwarding to head office for submission to the SETA and keeping the management team updated with weekly & quarterly reports. • At a stage, duties included ensuring security on site is being adhered to and being the security guards report any queries, problems or challenges to me. • I have also been involved in gathering information for monthly and quarterly reports. During this same period, I was responsible for scrutinising and submitting all Injury on Duty (IOD) paperwork. • I have also been trained to compile Company / Standard Operating Procedures and involved with Working Instruction, in alignment with relevant Acts & Regulations, using macros extensively. Also included as one of the functions was controlling documents i.e. controlled / uncontrolled copy distribution. • One of the other aspect was arranging golf outings, international training sessions which included accommodation. Another aspect from time to time has been to designing brochures and folders that were sent through to external printer that was required for in-house use. Plus, mailing flyers to clients for trade, retail shows, product launches, etc. • In previous years, I have also been involved in controlling accounts on a system that including account allocation and reconciliations for general ledger, debtors, creditors and bank accounts, as well as depreciation on stock and vehicles : all aspects of accounting including calculated were interest charges to subsidiary company and staff members. And at the end of the day, preparing documentation for end of year audits. • As a receptionist and secretary, the average duties were complied with some interesting aspects including assisting with the telephone management system, the security access system and arranging for simm cards for cell phones and updating vouchers. Once or twice, I have had to assist with interviews and conduct interviews to establish proper position placements.
