Its mandate includes:Developing and implementing a sector skills planPromoting learning programmesRegistering learning programme agreementsServing as an Education and Training Quality AuthorityCollecting and disbursing skills development leviesLiaising with the National Skills AuthorityReporting to the DirectorGeneral of the Department of Higher Education and Training on its activitiesThe CETA would like to make the following appointments on a fixedterm contract up to 31 2020, renewable at its discretion:Administrator: Financial and Asset Management AccountingReporting to the Officer: Financial and Asset Management AccountingBased at Head Office in GautengAllinclusive salary package negotiableJob ProfileThe role of the Financial and Asset Management Accounting Administrator at the CETA is to provide administrative support to the Financial Accounting Unit.Minimum Requirements for the PositionGrade 12 Certificate and a postschool qualification in Accounting, Financial Management or related fieldAt least a year's experience, including internship, in an administrative or related positionDemonstrable knowledge of SETA core business will count in the applicant's favourTraining and/or experience in the construction industry will be an added advantageExcellent writing, verbal communication, analytical, presentation and computer skillsDuties and ResponsibilitiesSupport the development of the Unit's business planSupport the operationalisation and the implementation of the Unit's business planSupport the development and responsible management of the Unit 039;s budgetSupport the development of relevant process flows for all activities of the unitEnsure Unit compliance to relevant prescripts and organisational policies and proceduresEnsure that documentation submitted to Supervisor complies with the CETA policies, procedures and processes by quality assuring submissions for completeness, accuracy andrelevanceSupport the development and regular review of the Unit's policies and procedures in alignment with the organisation's policies and proceduresSupport the development of the Unit's meetings' agendasMinutetaking in the Unit's meetingsSupport the development of high quality templates and tools to assist with the effective management of and continuous improvement within the unitSupport CETA and stakeholder compliance with the CETA 039;s policies; processes and procedures; rules and regulations; and legislation pertaining to the organisationAssist with organisational risk management from the Unit's point of viewProvide administrative support for the implementation of the Unit's work as well as relevant corporate processes and proceduresAssist with the provision of relevant information and support to stakeholdersAssist with the maintenance of proper recordsContribute to the Unit's reporting on its deliverables and processesHandle correspondence and enquiries relating to the UnitMaintain the Unit's records and filesHandle invitations and logistics of the Unit's meetingsSupport the development and maintenance of relevant databasesOrganise workshops and other events and functions of the UnitPerform any other relevant duties as directedPrepare and handle documentation pertaining to the Financial Accounting UnitProduce the Financial Accounting Unit's reportsPrepare meeting agendas and take minutesDevelop, maintain and update relevant databaseOrganise workshops and other events and functions of the Financial Accounting UnitProviding administrative support to the coordination of the whole budgeting processContribute to the production of the overall budgetHelp with basic payroll processes, including information gatheringEnsure the correctness of all petty cash disbursement vouchers, reconciliations and reimbursementsGather relevant information for the preparation of Annual Financial Statements in accordance with the PFMA and Generally Recognised Accounting Practice GRAPHelp with information gathering for the preparation of an audit file for the auditorsAssist with the coordination of the audit processHelp with attending to all internal and external audit queriesMaintain relevant dataGather data and material for monthly and quarterly reportsHelp with the management of the creditors function for administrationrelated expenditureAssist in the performance of creditors and monthly reconciliationsHelp manage the debtors functionAssist with weekly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts NSF, administration, mandatory and discretionary grants, etc.Help with the development and maintenance of an assets registerCarry out regular asset verifications and reconciliationsAssist with monthly depreciation procedures and postingsAssist with the completion of relevant documentation and making the necessary payments pertaining to statutory returns PAYE, UIF, SDL, etc.Performing all functions as delegated by the Financial Accounting Officer from time to timeThe at 16.30pm For enquiries kindly contact Ms Bukiwe Xalisa or Ms Reandra Moodley between 08h00 and 16h30 weekdaysThe CETA reserves the right not to make an appointment.
