PurposeThe Financial Controller in the Finance Department is to ensure that accurate, complete and timely information is generated and processed in the Financial Statements and that the correct processes are adhered to as per our Finance Policy.Responsibilities may include but not limited to:Broad-Based Economic Empowerment BBBEEEnsure our BBBEE verification is in line with government regulations and meets the company expectationsOversee the whole BBBEE preparation, consultation, and verification process together with the HR Manager and Executive DirectorMonthly Departmental BudgetsPreparation and presentation of the monthly Departmental Cost to Company to the relevant Departmental HeadsEnsuring the accuracy of the inputted budgetsHighlighting any variances with the reasons thereofResolving any queries and ensuring that parties clearly understand the various reports presentedMonthly Customer Cost to Company Preparation and presentation of the monthly Customer Cost to Company to the Board of DirectorsEnsuring the accuracy of the inputted informationResolving any queries and ensuring that parties clearly understand the various reports presentedAuthorisation of following:Purchase orders and invoices Authorization of Purchase Orders and Invoices Daily authorization of supplier purchase orders to the value of R 20 000Daily checking and final processing of customer invoices to the value of R 80 000Monthly supplier payments Checking and approval of the monthly supplier payments in accordance to the Finance PolicyEnsuring that the contra invoicing for purchase orders has been generated to the relevant customerEnsuring that the suppliers and relevant internal departments are notified of the status of payments or if there are and delays thereofMonthly payroll requirements Checking and approval of the monthly payroll requirements in accordance to our Finance Policy and the Company Travel Policy. This includes, but is not limited to, petty cash, credit cards, travel, overtime and standby claims.Processing in the Financial Statements Processing of accurate information in the Financial Statements of Stowe Holdings up to Trial BalanceMonthly processing of the salary journal from Paste l Payroll to Paste l EvolutionEnsuring that transactions processed are allocated to the correct General Ledger accountsAssistance in the preparation for the Annual Audit to ensure accuracy of the Annual Financial StatementsStatutory and Legislation regulationEnsuring that SARS regulations are met timeously and accurately in terms of VAT and PAYE, UIF, SDL monthly submissions and paymentsEnsuring monthly submission of the Cession of Debtors to the bankEnsuring the submission of annual returns to the Companies and Intellectual Confidenziale Commission CIPCPreparation and submission of annual Workman's Compensation CommissionRequest of annual Letter of Good StandingAdministration Function Assist in administrative functions where necessary and adhere to company policies and proceduresMinimum Requirements: MatricCertificate in Bookkeeping or DiplomaMicrosoft and Paste l Evolution or similar accounting package5 years working experience in admin and accounting duties, 1 of which in a bookkeeping positionCompetencies: Accuracy & Attention to DetailCommunication Skills & Listening SkillsConflict Handling & Problem SolvingLeadership Abilities & Interpersonal SkillsDeadline Orientated & Time Management Ability to Prioritize TasksAnalytical Skills
