Reference: Paa000959-C-1 Our client, a beautiful guest house just outside Franschhoek is looking for a Guesthouse Assistant Manageress / Manager to join their team. REQUIREMENTS Own Transport and Driver’s License Age: 20 – 35 years Be able to work shifts, weekends, evenings, public holidays and after hours Working 11 days solid, off Saturday, Sunday and Monday every second weekend (3 solid days off) SUMMER: Shift 1: 07:30 – 17:00 Shift 2: 08:30 – 18:00 WINTER: Shift 1: 08:00 – 17:00 Shift 2: 08:30 – 17:30 Good communication skills, language and writing skills Computer Skills THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE: Natural PRO Skills Friendly, Warm and Passionate Energy, energy, energy Manage pressure and difficult situations Well groomed, presentable and professional Able to multi- Task and Deliver as required Lead and Manage by example Honest, Responsible and Punctual Willingness to Learn Initiative, Creative and Efficient Must be practical, common sense and able to think on her/his feet RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure consistent guest satisfaction FRONT OF HOUSE DUTIES: Greeting and attending to the needs of guests Must be able to greet and attend to the needs of guests and to build a good rapport with all the guests and resolve any complaints/ issues quickly to maintain high quality customer service. GENERAL OFFICE DUTIES: To be responsible for accurate and efficient accounts Guest billing processes Correspondence E-mails Filing Telephone Marketing To administer all routes of reservations to ensure that room bookings are made and recorded accurately To ensure that all reservations and cancellations are processed efficiently To keep up to date with room prices and special offers to provide accurate information to guests To report any maintenance, breakage or cleanliness problems Administer the general petty cash system and float in the accurate manner Assist with all admin duties HOUSEKEEPING: Ensure that rooms are serviced and maintained to the standards of the establishments Perform daily spot- checks, inspection of rooms, kitchen and public areas. Help to load washing machines and tumble dryer if needed Ensure that the dress code and general appearance of staff is up to standard Supervise kitchen staff while cooking, washing dishes and cleaning Setting up breakfast, clearing and serving breakfast to the guests Take stock and replenish of all departments e.g. kitchen, laundry, office and bar and shop Act as Duty Manager when required Salary: Negotiable depending on experience.
