The Head of CSOC has direct accountability for Monitoring and Detection, Incident Response, Cyber Threat Intelligence and the people and technologies that support the CSOC. You will have a strategic, enterprise view of the organization and will work with the Information Security Community and business stakeholders to drive out requirements. This role has a group wide mandate.Strategic Leadership:Providing strategic direction for the CSOC function while ensuring that this direction is aligned with the strategy of Cyber Security, IT Security and ultimately Group IT within the SBG;Development and maturity of Detection capabilities by leveraging off of the SIEM, Network Behaviour Anomaly Detection, Endpoint Detection and any other technology capable of providing telemetry data to improve detection. Business Management:The Head of CSOC is accountable for all Business management functions for the CSOCOperations Management:The Head of CSOC remains accountable for Operations Management, but delegate the responsibilities to the Managers of the subfunctions.Operations Management functions are typically performed in monthly cyclesPlan, design and implement an overall risk management process for the CSOC. The process includes: detection, triage, analysis, containment, recovery and reporting.Lead the incident response process and execution including unauthorized access, security policy violations and Data Loss Incidents.Manage and execute processes responsible for the advanced analysis of security threat intelligence in order to proactively prepare for security events;Expand and mature existing incident response processes and activities;Develop communication channels with the business units to ensure solid incident response and risk assessment processes;Provide assistance in external audits, certifications and accreditations, to achieve and maintain compliance. Technology Management:As the Business Owner for the technology solutions used in the CSOC the Head of the CSOC is accountable to ensure that Technology management activities are performed in a mature and effective manner.Service Delivery Management:The Head of CSOC is accountable for the overall Service Delivery performance of his function and must ensure that SLA targets are defined, reviewed and accomplished.Interpersonal skills are critical at this level requires an extensive and diverse network internally and externally need to be able to work with and through these diverse working groups in a collaborative fashion in spite of competing/ conflicting interests. Networks within IT Security, Operational Risk and all IT areas.
