A vacancy exists in the Bloemfontein office of a national firm of Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors for a Senior Manager to commence duties as soon as possible. Main Responsibilities: To provide a senior management role to the Auditing and Advisory departments. To assist the branch director in ensuring efficient operations of the branch by enforcing office policies and procedures Responsibilities will include: Business development and revenue generation Managing of client portfolios from planning to conclusion and reporting Planning and execute various financial reporting, auditing and advisory engagements for private and public sector clients Manage and lead the engagement team Review of project files and work of subordinates Ensuring relevant quality standards are maintained Finalisation of engagements for Director&# 039;s review Ability to liaise with senior client officials Ensuring staff are allocated to projects and managed on a daily basis Ensuring all branch admin responsibilities are completed, including for all head office administrative requirement. To assist branch director with compliance for SAICA regulations relating to SAICA trainees. Develop and maintain sound client relationships and identify potential new business opportunities Assist in preparation of client proposals Must have experience in assessing staff performance and staff development Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience: CA (SA) SAICA articles completed at a South African auditing practice Minimum of 3 – 5 years post-articles’ experience Knowledge of accounting frameworks across public and private sectors. Caseware knowledge/ experience TeamMate knowledge/ experience Pastel knowledge/ experience Microsoft Office experience Valid South African driver’s license Own transport Must have experience in assessing staff performance and staff development Behavioural Competencies: Performance Driven and self-motivated Analytical and solution driven Ability to pay attention to detail Excellent communication skills Strong Team Player Ability to multi-task Pro-active and committed to delivery Excellent time management skills High level of stress tolerance Deadline driven and keen to learn Ability to grasp new concepts quickly Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to prioritise work and to work efficiently and under pressure Career driven with strong focus on personal development Must be willing to work out of town for periods of time To start immediately
